The 3^rd World Freestyle Skating Championship 2009, Shanghai, China.

On behalf of WSSA, I would like to extend my cordial thanks to the organiser Chinese Roller Skating Association [CRSA], the deputy governor of Huangpu District People's Government, Shanghai, Chinese Leisure Sports Administrative Center [CLSAC], Shanghai Municipal Sports Administration, all official and all WSSA judges for the effort and hard work that you had contributed to make this event a great success.

It is our honour to have Dr Roberto Marotta, the Secretary General of Federation International de Roller Sports [FIRS] and Mrs Lin Jie, the Chinese Roller Skating Association for participating at the open ceremony of this prestige's championship. I would like to thank FIRS for giving WSSA this opportunity to organise this great event and we looking forward to many more of such events in the future.

Special thanks to all national federations, athletes and coaches for your support and participation.

I would also like to express my appreciation to Hong Kong Kanata Skate Club. The skaters' registration was only formally rejected from Hong Kong Roller Sports Federation when the skaters arrived in Shanghai.

Despite the difficult situation that the Hong Kong skaters had to overcome, the management of WSSA would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the skaters' relentless support towards this event.

Last but not least, I wish all federations and athletes will continue to support WSSA and together we will take the sport to higher level.
